Come to the Library!

We have many great works of fiction, non-fiction, and reference books in our library for all ages.  The Library is typically available during normal church office hours as well as Sunday mornings between Sunday School and Worship, and after Worship.

The Book of Life series

Christian Heroes of the Faith series

We have completed cataloging and inputting all 3,200 books that we currently own.  The books have been organized by subject and entered into our database (BookCAT) on the computer.  All books have been assigned a barcode number, and stickers--that include barcode number, author, and title--have been printed and affixed to each book.  Books are now checked out by barcode number which allows us to track what books are out, who has them, and when they are due back.  We are able to print out a variety of reports that can provide us with that information at a glance.  We are also able to print out a list of overdue books in order to contact and remind patrons to return them.

We have added a listening station to the library that allows patrons to listen to CDs and cassettes as well as watch DVDs and VHS tapes right in the library.  All of our audio/visual holdings have been given library cards so that they may be checked out by patrons as well.

We had an open house in May that gave church members a chance to come in and get more familiar with the great resource that the library is.  We registered 35 families and will assign library card numbers in the future.
